⛩ Tōshirō Hitsugaya is the captain of the 10th division of the Sereitei, the shinigami organization fighting against the Hollows. He thus possesses the highest military rank right after the captain commander, this rank earns him the fear as well as the admiration of most shinigami.

Toshiro possesses a great Spiritual Power as well as a very powerful Zanpakutō, the most powerful of the ice Zanpakutōs, Hyōrinmaru. This one allows him to create, control ice but also the weather to some extent.

Hitsugaya's Bankai: Daiguren Hyōrinmaru, casts Hyōrinmaru's ice on Hitsugaya, starting with his right arm, on which the ice forms in the appearance of a dragon's head around his hand.

It wasn't until his fight against Gerard Valkyrie in the Millennium Bloody War that Hitsugaya managed to complete his Bankai. Hitsugaya was not mature enough before to use his Bankai to its fullest, but after forcing it through his body, he reached its completion and full potential.
