⛩ The Evangelion Unit-01, or also named EVA-01 TEST TYPE, is an Evangelion appearing in the eponymous franchise. It is an iconic element of the franchise and appears in the entirety of the works in the franchise.
The Universal Humanoid Combat Weapon Evangelion, or simply Evangelions, are artificial creatures designed by Gehirn and then by NERV.
Although the Evangelion with the best combat statistics, the Evangelion Unit-01 is one of the most unstable. Even before its first operation, it shows worrying signs of moving on its own, without a pilot. The fears are confirmed a little more during its confrontation with Sachiel during which it enters for the first time in Berserk Mode. The soul of Unit 01, Yui Ikari, seems to be responsible for this attitude and is driven by the need to protect the pilot.
