⛩ Osamu Dazai is a member of the Armed Detective Agency and was once a leader of the Port Mafia.
Dazai is generally referred to as lazy; in fact, Kunikida often scolds him for being unproductive and relaxed. Despite this, he has demonstrated a sharp mind, deducing even the most improbable situations, almost on the same level as Ranpo. Most of the time, he acts as the strategist for the Armed Detectives, as Ranpo is too capricious to take on that role.
He is a suicide maniac, often attempting to commit suicide in a comical manner but failing. He particularly wishes to commit suicide with a beautiful woman. However, although his suicidal tendencies are initially comedic, they reveal a deep void within Dazai that he cannot fill. He thought he could fill this void and find a valid reason through crime and war, but his friend Oda convinced him to choose the right side, leading to his joining the armed detectives.
The Decay of the Angel is Dazai's power, allowing him to nullify other powers by touching them. His ability therefore relies solely on contact.
For this reason, Dazai needs standard procedures or medical operations whenever he injures himself, unlike his fellow members of the Armed Detective Agency, who are generally healed by Yosano using her power.
