Appearance
Baek is a muscular young man with spiky orange hair, orange eyes, pronounced canines, and neatly trimmed sideburns. He is usually seen wearing a black suit. During the Jeju Island Raid, he wore black armor with yellow pauldrons, gray pants, and golden claws. When using his powers, his eyes glow yellow, his hair turns white, and his pupils become slits.
Personality
Baek is an ambitious and serious man who cares deeply about his guild members. This is evident in his departure from his former guild to establish his own, his emotional response to Hwang Dongsoo strangling one of his staff members, and his efforts to pressure Jinwoo into explaining why only three of his guild members survived the Red Gate incident. Curious and highly perceptive, Baek was the first to realize that Jinwoo had no limits to his strength.
History
Baek initially joined the Fiend Guild as a Hunter but left with several members to found the White Tiger Guild.
His guild accepted a request from the Korean Hunter Association to deal with the Double Dungeon incident.
Yoo Jinho's Raid Team Arc
In the novel, Baek scolded Ahn Sangmin for failing to purchase the dungeon used for rookie training. Trusting Ahn’s recruitment skills, Baek briefly hoped that a talented new Hunter would join the guild. Unbeknownst to him, Ahn’s target was Sung Jinwoo.
Red Gate Arc
Baek received an emergency request from the Association regarding a sudden Red Gate dungeon, as his A-rank Hunter, Kim Chul, had led the White Tiger Guild’s raid team in that mutated dungeon.

Abilities
As an S-rank Hunter, Baek is one of Korea’s top Hunters. However, despite his rank, his strength is considered mediocre for an S-rank, as noted by Hanekawa, and he is likely one of the weakest S-ranks in the world.
- Enhanced Strength: Baek possesses great physical strength, demonstrated by his ability to fight Ma Dongwook on equal footing without fully transforming, and to hold his own against Kumamoto. His transformation ability significantly boosts his strength, allowing him to easily defeat Dongwook in a one-on-one battle.
- Enhanced Speed: Baek can move at high speed, as shown by his quick reactions to Kumamoto’s attacks and his ability to keep up with him briefly.
- Enhanced Durability: Baek has great physical resilience, managing to stay conscious and keep moving relatively normally even after being severely beaten and strangled by the Ant King.
- Transformation: Baek can transform into a humanoid tiger-like monster with white fur, snow-white hair, sharp claws, and prominent fangs, which greatly enhances his strength and speed. He can also partially transform, choosing which parts of his body to change, as seen when only his hands and hair transformed during his fight with Kumamoto.
- Beast’s Eyes: Baek can enter an “Enlightenment State” that allows him to accurately measure the power of a monster or another Hunter. This ability also boosts his reflexes.
